Paracosm’s signature company class is open to the public every Friday, offering 2 rigorous hours of dynamic movement and artistic exploration. With a thorough warmup centered on rehabilitation and conditioning for longevity in movement, the class then twists and turns from floorwork combinations to guided improvisational studies, to (just a few!) technical exercises, ending with complex choreography to challenge the mind and body.

*This class involves contact with other dancers via contact improvisation, duet, trio, and group studies, etc. Participation in these exercises is not required to enjoy the class.*
**Bring socks, pants, and layers! At least 45 minutes of this class is spent rolling, gliding, slipping – and sometimes flopping and dropping – across the floor. Shorts are not encouraged for this class. Sweatshirts can serve as great padding if floorwork is new to the body!**
Paracosm’s ballet class offers a long, indulgent barre, centered on feel-good exercises designed to activate the body while encouraging artistic expansion beyond the forms of classical ballet.
Center work is designed to challenge the dancer and refine techniques, all while eating up space in the expansive Blue Lapis Light studio.
